Overview

Why a 4 Yard Skip?

Most people don't need a massive skip sitting outside their house. If you're clearing out a garage, ripping out an old bathroom, or just having a proper sort through the spare room, a 4 yard skip is usually enough. It takes around 30 to 40 bin bags, which covers most small home projects without wasting space.

It's also one of the easier skips to place. It doesn't overwhelm a driveway and works better in tighter spots. That's often the deciding factor.

You can use it for general household waste, bits of timber, garden cuttings, broken units, old furniture and small amounts of rubble. For lighter jobs, it does exactly what it needs to do.

4 Yard Skip FAQs

They're roughly 0.9 metres high and about 1.8 metres long. Wide enough to be practical, small enough not to take over.
In real terms, most customers fill it with around 30–40 standard refuse sacks. It's not designed for major construction work, but it's ideal for smaller clearances.
Light building materials are fine. Heavy loads of rubble are better suited to a different skip, so it's worth checking if that's what you've got.
Only if it's going on the road. If it's on your driveway or private land, you don't. If council permission is needed, we can arrange it.
Up to 14 days is standard. If you need it longer, just say when booking.
Hazardous waste isn't allowed. That includes asbestos, chemicals, paint, gas bottles and certain electrical appliances. If you're unsure about something, ask before loading it.
