Client Testimonials

What Our Clients Say

James and the team were brilliant from enquiry to full completion of job. Very understanding given it was a clearance of my recently passed gran's home. The team were on time, considerate, swift and tidy. Highly recommend.

I've had numerous skips off the team at Ascot and they're different class to deal with. Nothing's too much hassle for them and they're always very easy to deal with. Keep up the good work guys.

Common Questions

Ascot's Local Glasgow Waste Management Services FAQs

Are you a licensed waste carrier?

Yes. Ascot Management Services is a SEPA licensed carrier, so every load we collect is handled under proper registration and taken to permitted disposal sites. This matters more than it might sound. Under duty of care rules the person producing the waste stays responsible for where it ends up, so using an unregistered operator leaves you exposed if the waste is fly-tipped.

We can supply written confirmation of our licence for site files, contracts or tender documents. If you're comparing providers, it's worth asking each one for the same thing, since a registration number can be checked directly against the SEPA public register.

Do you only cover Glasgow?

Our central office is in Glasgow, and the city is where we handle delivery and collection directly with our own team. That local base is what allows us to offer next day slots and fast turnaround across the city and surrounding areas. For jobs inside the city, our Glasgow skip hire service covers everything from domestic clear-outs to commercial sites.

Beyond Glasgow we work with approved supplier partners across mainland UK and the Scottish Islands, covering Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The service is the same in structure: you deal with our team for booking and support, and the delivery is arranged through the partner closest to the job.

Do you supply skips to businesses as well as households?

Both. On the domestic side we handle house clearances, garden projects and renovation work, usually as a one-off booking. On the commercial side we work with builders, shopfitters and site managers who need waste moved on a schedule rather than a single drop.

Commercial jobs tend to need volume, which is where our 16 yard skips come in for bulky but lightweight material like packaging, timber and general site waste. If you're running an ongoing project, our team can set up a repeat arrangement rather than you rebooking each time.

What happens to my waste after you collect it?

Every load goes to a permitted facility where it's sorted rather than sent straight to landfill. Materials like metal, wood, plastics and hardcore are separated for recycling, and we aim for eco-friendly disposal wherever the waste type allows it.

What can be recovered depends heavily on what's in the skip. A clean load of one material recycles far better than a mixed one, so keeping soil, rubble and general waste separate helps. Our team can advise on this when you book if you're unsure how to split a job.

What skip sizes can I choose from?

Our fleet runs from 4 up to 16 yards, so there's a size for nearly every job. At the smaller end, our 4 yard mini skips suit garden clear-outs, single room refurbishments and heavy material like soil or rubble, where weight limits matter more than space.

Picking correctly saves money. An undersized skip means paying twice when it fills early, while an oversized one means paying for space you never use. If you're unsure, our team can talk through the job and suggest a size before you commit.

Can I get a skip delivered the next day?

Yes. Next day delivery is available across our coverage area, and same day is sometimes possible where availability allows. Booking earlier in the day improves your chances, since slots are allocated as they're confirmed.

Timing can vary slightly by location and how far out you are from our depot. If you're working in Hamilton, our Hamilton skip hire service covers the town and surrounding areas with the same next day availability.

Do you arrange the council permit for me?

If the skip sits on private land such as a driveway or yard, no permit is needed and we can deliver straight away. Where it has to go on a public road, a council permit is required, and we arrange that as part of the booking rather than leaving it to you.

Road placement comes with a size restriction. In Glasgow, our 8 yard skips are the largest permitted on a public road, so anything bigger has to sit on private ground. Permits also take a few working days to process, so factor that in when planning your start date.

What are my options if a skip won't fit?

Access is the usual sticking point, and it catches people out more often than size does. Larger skips such as our 12 yard need clear space and room for the lorry to manoeuvre, which isn't always possible on tight streets, tenement blocks or properties with narrow lanes.

Where a skip isn't practical, a man and van collection is the simpler route. Our team loads the waste and takes it away in one visit, so you don't need a permit, a parking space, or anywhere to leave a container overnight.

How do you price a job?

We quote per customer rather than working from a fixed list. Price reflects skip size, hire length, delivery location and what you're putting in it, since heavier materials and restricted waste types are charged differently from general household rubbish.

Quotes are free and carry no obligation, and we'd rather talk through the job than have you guess. For pricing in Motherwell, our Motherwell skip hire service covers the town and the surrounding area.

How do I book a skip?

Booking is paperless from start to finish. Call the team or request a quote online, confirm the size and delivery date, and we handle the permit and scheduling from there. You'll get confirmation of the drop and collection times so you can plan around them.

Have a rough idea of what you're clearing before you call, since that's what determines the size. Jobs range from a small garden tidy up to a full house clearance needing a 14 yard, and describing the volume in rooms or bags is usually enough for our team to recommend the right option.
